Use the Daily Economy lot with a free, frequent shuttle while the new garage is built.

What we're building

A bigger, clearer, more welcoming terminal.

The Gateway Expansion rebuilds the parts of the airport travelers touch most — from the curb to the gate.

New terminal entrance

A brighter, more intuitive front door with a covered, weather-protected approach.

Expanded ticketing hall

More counters, more kiosks, and shorter lines at peak travel times.

Updated security checkpoint

A consolidated, modern checkpoint built to move travelers through faster.

Six additional gates

Room for more flights, more destinations, and more carriers as the region grows.

Improved baggage claim

Larger carousels and a clearer layout so bags — and travelers — flow better.

Parking garage & rental center

+1,200 covered spaces and a consolidated rental-car center steps from the terminal.

Covered passenger drop-off

A wider, weather-protected curb that keeps drop-off and pick-up moving.

Outdoor arrival plaza

A landscaped, welcoming plaza with seating, shade, and a sense of place.

New accessibility & wayfinding

Step-free routes, clearer signs, and energy-efficient systems throughout.

Common questions

The questions travelers ask most.

Will my flight be affected by construction?

No — flights, gates, and baggage claim are operating on their normal schedule. The changes are on the ground: drop-off, parking, the entrance, and rental cars.

Where do I get dropped off right now?

At the temporary curbside on Level 1. Follow the orange "Departures Drop-Off" signs, or check the live impacts page before you leave home.

Where should I park?

Use the Daily Economy lot and the free, frequent shuttle to the terminal while the new garage is built. The cell-phone lot is unchanged.

How much extra time should I allow?

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes earlier than you normally would, especially during morning and evening peaks.

When will it all be finished?

The full Gateway Expansion opens in 2030, with the new parking garage and several improvements opening sooner.
